I highly recommend this course to anyone starting out in Excel – even people who’s worked in Excel for some time. I surely picked up and few tips here and there!”

Here’s what you’ll get

Why this course? Well, my friend was in trouble…

So how did the course come about?

Well, one day my friend sent me this message…

“As you know, I’m starting a new job in a week. My boss told me I should know my way around a spreadsheet… How do I get up to speed in Excel in about a week?

Great question (and quite the challenge)!

To be frank, learning Excel in about a week is quite hard. Because, where do you even begin?

Excel has 100s of functions and can be used in so many ways. Knowing exactly what to focus on, is almost… Well, impossible!

But of course, I didn’t want to let my friend down.

I came up with 7 different topics, that my friend absolutely needed to master (so that his new boss and colleagues wouldn’t think he was a dork)..

These 7 topics, are the exact topics that I’m going to teach you throughout this free course.

How did it go? Well, here’s what my friend said…

“Kasper brought me up to speed in Excel very quickly. It even exceeded my expectations. Starting the new job was a breeze and Excel wasn’t a headache like I was used to. Instead, it has become a valuable tool in my everyday life.

So in just 7 days, my friend got up to speed in a program, he wasn’t very familiar with.

I’m absolutely positive you can accomplish the same too – and it might be even easier than you’d think.

I recommend you watch the first lesson of our free Excel course right now and see if it’s something for you.

Lesson 1: Boost Productivity with Shortcuts

Excel shortcuts

In the first lesson, we’re going to show you 4 different shortcuts – we call them ‘smartcuts’ – that’ll instantly boost your performance and productivity in Excel.

Lesson 1 is instantly available for you to see.

  • Learn to jump around in Excel
  • Copy paste data
  • Get a total

Lesson 2: Make Excel ‘Pretty’ with Formatting

Excel is by default.. well ugly! But it doesn’t have to be.

In the second lesson, we’ll teach you the basics of formatting your spreadsheet.

  • Color your data (the right way)
  • Apply borders to your sheet
  • Wrap text and merge cells

Lesson 3: Explore the Core Functions

Basic Excel functions

The backbone of Excel is functions. Without functions, Excel wouldn’t be one – if not the – most powerful software in the world.

Learning functions isn’t optional. It’s a must. In the third lesson, we’ll teach you the foundation of functions.

  • How functions work
  • Adding numbers with SUM
  • Counting cells with COUNT

Lesson 4: Dive Deeper into Advanced Functions

In the fourth lesson, we dive even deeper into the more advanced and powerful functions of Excel.

By having a grasp of these advanced functions, you’ll make Excel do all the hard work for you.

Sounds good, right? Here’s what you’ll learn:

  • Do something based on certain criteria (IF)
  • Adding numbers that meet certain criteria (SUMIF)
  • Counting cells conditionally (COUNTIF)
Advanced Excel functions

Lesson 5: Working with ‘Big Data’

Working with Big Data

Sooner or later, you’ll find yourself working with tons of data in Excel. If you don’t know the right tools, you’ll soon be lost.

Fear not, in lesson 5 we’ll teach you the exact tools you need to know in order to handle ‘Big Data’.

  • Freeze panes
  • Comments
  • Filtering

Lesson 6: Make Data Actionable with Conditional Formatting

Getting an overview of your data is quite the hassle. Because how do you make sense of rows and rows of data?

‘Conditional Formatting’ makes your data relatable and most important of all – actionable.

  • Find duplicates
  • Color scales
  • Color a number greater than
Conditional formatting

Lesson 7: Visualizing Data using Charts

Visualizing data using charts

In larger datasets, the overview is quickly lost and so is interpretation.

Being able to (properly) visualize data is, therefore, a necessary skill to master.

Exactly this is what we’re going to teach you in the final, and most important, lesson.

  • How to visualize your data using charts
  • Modify the chart to your specific needs
