Zero to Hero: The Best Way to Learn Excel (Online)2019-10-23T03:25:49+00:00

Zero to Hero: Become a Swiss Army Knife in Excel

Stop wasting time and second-guessing yourself.
This is the best way to learn Excel. Period.

Have you tried improving your Excel-skills, only to give up?

Are you short on time?

If so, you’re not alone!

Recently, I polled our +50,000 subscribers and asked them:

“What’s holding you back from achieving the skills you want in Excel?”

They gave 2 answers:

#1: They had already tried improving their Excel-skills. But Excel was too overwhelming and confusing. They had given up!

#2: They lacked the time necessary. Our readers had been told they needed to set aside several hours per day before making any progress.

Like many others, Dave believes it takes tons of time to learn Excel.

To be honest, those answers didn’t shock me.

I experienced the same when I started learning Excel 7 years ago…

Everyone expects you to know your way around Excel. But nobody takes the time to teach you the ins and outs of Excel.

+90% achieved their current Excel-skills from a grueling try-fail-persevere approach.

Albeit noble, it’s very ineffective (and extremely frustrating!).

It Took Me 7 Years to Learn Excel.
It’ll Take You 14 Hours.

7 years ago, I faced a choice:

  1. Learn Excel to get the job opportunities of my dreams
  2. Give up on learning Excel and hope I’d figure something out

I figured it’d be career suicide not to learn Excel, so I went with 1!

🤔 “But where to start?” 🤔

Excel is the most advanced, mainstream, software available.

Excel has +300 shortcuts, +400 functions, along with hundreds of different features.

I remember feeling so overwhelmed by all the formulas, functions, and options.

Also, I didn’t have anyone who could help me out and tell me what to do.

My first experience using Excel wasn’t the most exciting.
Here I am in a statistics class where I was first introduced to Excel
😂

The Journey to Learning Excel Begins…

I started learning Excel by “Googling” and searching for videos on YouTube.

I could only hope what I read and watched was correct.

Fast-forward to 4 years later, and I had achieved a decent skill level in Excel.

I finally started thinking “Hey, I’m quite good at this!”.

This was the most awesome feeling ever😁

– I no longer feared every task my boss sent me.
–
I didn’t have to embarrass myself by asking my colleagues for help.
– I didn’t get angry with Excel for not doing what it was “supposed to”.

At the same time, I couldn’t help but think:

It shouldn’t take 4 years to go from zero to “okay”…🤔

Fast-forward to today, 7 years later from when I first started learning Excel, and I am much more than “Okay”.

Today I’m a certified Microsoft Office Specialist🎓

+50,000 people have signed up for my courses, and +400,000 read my tutorials every month.

I’ve worked as a consultant charging $160/hour to create Excel-systems for businesses of all sizes.

All this experience has given me the skills to take a student (you!) from zero to hero in just 14 hours.

I am so glad I signed up for your training Kasper!

Think about it:

In 14 Hours, You Can Have Some of
The Most Valuable Excel-Skills!

The envy of colleagues is guaranteed – and so is the attention of your boss.

It’s all included in our course: Zero to Hero 😊

I would have KILLED to get this sort of step-by-step system when I first started. I could’ve saved 7 years and turbo-charged my career much faster and easier.

Kasper Langmann, Co-founder and Excel expert

How Would Learning Excel Impact Your Life?

This might be an odd question but think about it for a second.

What if you achieved such skill in Excel, that no matter what your boss or colleagues asks of you, you could confidently say “Thank you!”

… Then go to work and (over)deliver a result that nobody else in the company can?

Here I am with a few colleagues at the first job I landed because of my Excel-skills.

The 4 Things That Happen When You Learn Excel

“What, exactly, happens when you learn Excel?”

Great question!

Having taught Excel to +50,000 students, I’ve seen 4 things come up again and again:

1: Increase your salary.
When you become better, you become more invaluable. You transform yourself from just being an employee to an asset for the business. This gets rewarded.

2: An easier stress-free workday.
When you’ve completed our training, it’s not uncommon to become 2-10x more productive in Excel. Imagine doing your current Excel-tasks in half the time? It’s very possible!

3: Get promoted + better job opportunities.
Better skills mean you can handle more complex tasks. This enables you to scale the corporate ladder much quicker.

4: Impress your boss and get ahead of your colleagues.
Everyone expects you to be an Excel-superuser, yet few are. You can be one of those few, who masters the spreadsheet. This is guaranteed to impress your boss and cause great envy from your colleagues.

Working is so much more fun when you know your way around Excel!

The 3 Things You Must Avoid When Learning Excel

Achieving this sort of skill in Excel doesn’t happen by itself.

There are tons of roadblocks you must avoid – as well as misinformation.

Here are my 3 not-to-dos when learning Excel:

1: Lack of structure.
Having the right structure isn’t optional – it’s a must. The correct structure and sequence make it 10x easier to improve your Excel-skills.

2: Focus on everything.
With hundreds of functions, formulas, and options, Excel is overwhelming. Many things are completely unnecessary to focus on. But there are a handful of crucial things. Knowing the difference between “unnecessary” and “crucial” is the hard part.

3: YouTube and onsite training.
YouTube is great for cute cat videos, but learning Excel? Not so much. YouTube lacks structure, quality, assignments, and a whole lot more. Onsite training can be great in a few situations, but with any skill, repetition is key. Onsite training doesn’t provide you with that option (and it’s super expensive as well).

So, what’s the solution then? 🤔

I’m glad you asked, it’s called: Zero to Hero…

The training helped me to find my new job!

Natalia Szczygielska

You Watch TV for +4 Hours…
Why Not Spend 15 Minutes Learning Excel?

Surveys show that people watch TV for +4 hours a day 📺

We get it… it’s much more fun to watch TV than learning Excel.

But you don’t need to spend 4 hours a day to learn Excel.

Despite what you hear, you don’t need to sit down for hours on end to learn Excel.

I don’t even recommend doing that!

Going through the training for 15-60 minutes per day is optimal – this is by design.

Set aside 15 minutes per day and you’ll complete an entire module (+exercises) in 1 week ⚡

Want to do even more? Feel free, that’s up to you!

Zero to Hero is 100% self-paced.

Everything included is instantly applicable.

When you’re done with the 7 modules, you have skills that are in demand – and rewarded – in all jobs.

Done watching the course?

Awesome, go back and rewatch it as many times as you want.

And there’s one more thing…

You also get lifetime access to the course 🤯

So, why not swap 15 minutes of Family Guy for 15 minutes of Zero to Hero?

Your future self will love you for it 😉

The training opened up a world of options for me to automate repetitive daily tasks. The training saves me a lot of time in my working day.

Dwayne Cadwallader

I recommend anyone who has struggled with Excel to give this a try.

We’ve got students from all over the world.

Here’s what they think about Zero to Hero…

(You can read more third-party reviews of us on Trustpilot)

This is a well structured course and easy to follow with the videos and practice files. Demystifies Excel and I find I look forward to my learning time. Tried other courses but did not like the way they were presented so lost interest. I recommend anyone who has struggled with Excel to give this a try.

Tracy Rutherford

Spreadsheeto is saving me hours and hours! I rather had doubted the individual attention this system had promised, but I ask a question and they answer in less than a day. This was an investment in myself and it is paying off beautifully and quickly. Also, I decide when I do which course; I love that flexibility. I highly recommend this course to anyone who uses Excel regularly.

Leslie Tavernier

This is by far the best software training course I’ve experienced, even compared to classroom training. Everything is explained so simply. There are things in Excel that have been mysteries to me for years, and in a two minute video, all is revealed. The practice exercises are an invaluable piece of how you learn. I highly recommend this course. Even if you’re a total novice and non-technical, you really can master this material.

Marcy Serkin

I am so happy I decided to learn more in Excel with Spreadsheeto. The lessons are taught in segments which is so great because you can go back and repeat what you needed to view again. You get assignments to complete and the practice helps you retain what you learned. All lessons are clear and easy to understand. There is no way you can’t improve your Excel skill level if you take the lessons and do the assignments. The course is so well worth it.
