The 5 Best Laptops with Microsoft Office Installed (2024)

Looking for a new laptop for work?

Then why not choose one that already has Microsoft Office installed?

AND one that has the power to run all your Office applications?

This is my list of the 7 best laptops that come with Microsoft Office pre-installed.

My favorite is the legendary Dell XPS 13! It’s sleek, has tons of power, and a great battery  – but it’s not cheapπŸ’°

Let’s dive in…

This list was last updated on January 4th, 2024.

1. Good all-rounder: ASUS ZenBook 14

We’re gonna start off the list with a great, relatively budget-friendly option, the well-renowned ZenBook series from ASUS.

It runs on AMD Ryzen 5 5600H CPU with at least 264 GB SSD hard drive and 8 GB RAM.

Designed for balance between mobility, power, and a solid build, this ASUS laptop only weighs 2.87 lbs.

At the time of release, this was the thinnest 14-inch laptop on the market, being just 16.8 mm thick.

With its compact design and nice performance, this laptop can run Microsoft Office for up to 11 hours.

Perfect for mobile computing, or plugging it into a monitor and working from home.

Spreadsheeto rating: πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ€ (5/6)

This comes with Windows 11 and Microsoft Office installed. You get the first 30 days free, then you’ll have to sign up for a Microsoft 365 subscription (or other options for getting Microsoft Office).

2. Most value-for-money: Acer Aspire Vero

While a bit clunky in its design, and more than 1 lb heavier than most other laptops on this list, the Acer Aspire Vero is the cheapest way to get a lot of power for your work applications (and light gaming too).

Great CPU with Intel Core i7-1195G7, and can be modified to 16 GM of RAM and 512 GB of SDD hard drive space.

Plenty of power to run all your Microsoft Office programs at once, even with heavy files.

A good display with a 14 Inch screen size (note: this is not a touchscreen laptop).

All this for $500-$700 (depending on the offers you can find).

It doesn’t get much better than that.

Oh, yes it does.

Because it packs a battery life of ~13 hours.

This powerful laptop is definitely suitable for professionals and students alike – although it’s definitely not as sleek and mobile as the other options on this link.

Spreadsheeto rating: πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ€ (5/6)

The value of this pc is absolutely incredible. If you have no preferences for design and sleekness, this is definitely a top contender.

3. Best on a tight budget: Acer Aspire 5

Not the sexiest laptop of the bunch but definitely great value, the Acer Aspire is a budget staple – perfect for students worldwide.

With its 4 GB RAM and 128 GB SSD Hard Drive and its AMD Ryzen 3 3350U, it got just enough power for basic tasks, including light work in Excel or other spreadsheet applications.

So, if you’re really sure you’ll only be using the laptop for basic Office work, this might be one for you.

Spreadsheeto rating: πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ€πŸ€ (4/6)

It’s even got a tested 11-12 hours of battery life. Insane value for less than $400 USD.

4. Runner-up: Microsoft Surface Laptop 5

Office work equals Microsoft Office equals Microsoft.

And in case you didn’t know it, Microsoft builds great hardware products as well.

Especially their Microsoft Surface Laptop series.

The version I’d like to emphasize here comes with

This has a 13.5” touch-screen display running on an Intel Evo i7 (or i5) processor.

The version I prefer has 16 GB memory of RAM and a 512 GB Solid State Hard Drive.

But also a pretty hefty price tagπŸ’°

Microsoft Surface Laptop 5 with Microsoft Office included

Compared with the laptops above, this Microsoft device has serious specifications, enough for you to do much more than just standard office work.

If you prefer the design of this Surface laptop, you can definitely justify buying this over my preferred Dell XPS (I’ll tell you about that in a second).

Spreadsheeto rating: πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š (6/6)

Naturally, this laptop comes with OneDrive and Microsoft 365 (Office 365) installed.

5. Our top pick: Dell XPS 13 LaptopπŸ†

The DELL XPS 13 is an absolute legend and is one of the most critically acclaimed laptop computers in historyπŸ₯³

It’s also the most expensive with a price tag of double what you’d pay for some of the other laptops on this list.

It comes in a variety of specifications but I’d recommend the Intel Core i7 1185G7 CPU, 16 GB RAM of memory, and 512 GB Solid State Drive storage.

Those numbers alone are enough to convince you of the power of this laptop.

The build quality on this touchscreen laptop is through the roof, which is one of the key unique selling points of this laptop, whether you’re a student (in which case this might be a bit expensive) or a business professional.

Spreadsheeto rating: πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š (6/6)

And the tested battery life is ~12 hours. Enough to last an entire work day (or more).
